Letters Home During War for grades 10-12 students to work on components of a letter and to summarize the letter's intent. The 19th century writers used a voice different than from our present writing voice. Letters from the Civil War can be contrasted to the Vietnam war. Students can formulate a thesis on the unchanging nature of the war.
