Communications

The Communications Team is here to support VPS schools in building strong, mutually beneficial partnerships between our staff, students, families, and community. 

In addition to sharing timely updates and information to our families and community–and telling the story of the great work happening every day within our schools–we work also hard to:

  • share community perspectives with our leadership considerations of how decisions may impact our students and families

  • support and foster clear and transparent communications with our parents, community members, and staff.

Our goals are to:

  • Authentically build and maintain trust: Foster strong connections with families, staff and community partners.

  • Create meaningful interactions: Provide and create pathways for two-way communication so that our families know they are deeply valued and an important part of successful schools.

  • Quickly and efficiently share information during emergencies or inclement weather: Write and deliver timely updates during challenges to keep families informed and relationships strong.

We also serve as the official Public Information Officers for the district.
